BOKBUSSEN (LIBRARY BUS)

The library at Haninge kommun has invested in a library bus in order to reach, primarilly, children in the outskirts of the region. We decided to work with the library bus as a peice of art – or rather a mobile sculpture – to make sure that good art would reach people all over Haninge.
Pia Andersson Wredlert and Helena Andersson at the library, and Elisabeth Åström from the culture department made it clear that the artistic work on the library bus 1) should be a tool for the librarians when they told stories to children and 2) that the art should preferably reach many ages and cultures.
Kristoffer Zetterstrand and Åsa Klingberg was engaged and produced sketches for the library bus in spring 2009, and Kristoffer Zetterstrand was chosen for the work.
